2014 Astra Zeneca’s office Sliding Doors Osaka/Japan Oxide Grigio 1000x3000 mm Laminam 3+

Inaugurated in 2014, the new headquarters of Astra Zeneca, one of Japan's leading construction companies, chose the LAMINAM slabs of the Oxide collection, in the colour Grigio, to cover the sliding doors of the conference room.

The 3 mm thick LAMINAM 1000x3000 mm slabs complete the design of the doors, making them an instantly recognisable and striking feature that nonetheless blends seamlessly with the interior design of the building. A contemporary reinterpretation of the Japanese tradition of sliding doors, the design alternates fixed and moving elements to create a spectacular wall with all the drama of stage curtains, permitting perfect isolation of the auditorium during use yet visual continuity with the lobby.

Thanks to exclusive layering technology, the Oxide surfaces reproduce the effect of oxidised metal that reacts to atmospheric agents, sunlight and the passage of time, creating unprecedented and sophisticated three-dimensional effects.
