LAMINAM FOR THE NEW GLENEAGLES MEDINI HOSPITAL IN KUALA LUMPUR

2015 Gleneagles Medini Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Design: B+H Architects Collection Bianco 1000x3000 mm Laminam 3+

One of the stand-out architectural projects is the new Gleneagles Medini Hospital in Kuala Lumpur designed by B+H Architects, a firm renowned for sustainable design, technical expertise and the management of large-scale projects, operating globally with several offices in Canada, the Middle East and Asia.

The project by B+H Architects opts for a flexible masterplan that facilitates future expansion for this hospital complex with 300 beds on a 14-acre site. The vertical block reserved for the hospitalisation rooms is balanced by the perimeter platform for reception and services, raised on columns and easy to see thanks to the geometrical pattern and pure whiteness of the slabs from the Collection Bianco series sized 1000x3000 mm with thickness 3 mm chosen as unifying element, integrated with the many continuous windows which offer daylight and an external view for the indoor environment, projecting an image of opening.

Collection is the oldest series from the brand and fully represents the concept of versatility, a tool to design and furnish indoors and outdoors: surfaces with solid colour are the incentive for creating and cladding objects and furnishings, an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

Laminam ceramic slab properties:
