Lapitec® has been approved by the NSF institute, whose mission it is to improve human health and the environment by certifying products and systems. NSF has confirmed that Lapitec® is a material that is safe for direct contact with food. An acknowledgement that guarantees the maximum safety for the end consumer who chooses sintered stone for kitchen worktops. Moreover, the material complies with the Jewish Kosher food rules, therefore tables and surfaces can be made Kosher in accordance with the Jewish religion's rules.

Lapitec® is 100% natural and completely free of resins. This green production philosophy is confirmed by two significant acknowledgements. The GreenGuard has proved that Lapitec® is a material that does not emit pollutants, can be used in sustainable building projects and can be accepted by worldwide building regulations. The second confirmation comes from numerous tests: comparing known data and the results from experiments performed on slabs of Lapitec®, it was found that 100 m2 of Lapitec® degrades the same amount of NOx in 6 hours as about 28 trees, calculated to be 21.9 m2 of leaf surface area. This figure reinforces the product’s environmentally friendly image even more.
