The first Lapitec® ice cream parlour

The Capo di Latte artisanal ice cream parlour in Vicenza has chosen sintered stone for its work surfaces and serving counters.

A design challenge curated by 02AA in Vicenza, which decided to use Lapitec®, Satin finish slabs for the project. And, as it’s an ice cream parlour, the natural choice of colour just had to be Bianco Crema, a warm, light tone that perfectly adapts to the shop's decor, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.

Furthermore, the natural quality of Lapitec made it a perfect solution for the interiors, where it becomes a key element for conveying the owners’ artisanal philosophy, the attention to the use of superior quality ingredients, and their passion for refined creativity and elegant presentation.

Technically speaking, the material was chosen for its extreme workability. In fact, the challenge was intensified further by the need to cut the 12 mm slabs of the serving counter in various points positioned very close together, to create the compartments for the ice cream pans. This was possible thanks to sintered stone’s resistance to breakage and extreme work processes. Furthermore, Lapitec® also responds exceptionally well to temperature variations, and because the slabs are resin-free, they’re ideal for use both in low and high temperature conditions. Finally, the Satin finish is also easy to clean, guaranteeing the highest standards of hygiene for worktops and serving counters.
