Illumination of the Tivoli lift bridge in Sète
Significant bridge in Sète, the Tivoli lift bridge was first built in 1875.
It had a first reconstruction in 1930, taking the structure it has today, which is a lift bridge with a navigable pass-through of 43,80 meters as of today.
Razed by the German troops during World War II, it rebuilt as before in 1952.
In 2014, the bridge underwent a major rehabilitation directed by the engineering office ARTCAD, specialised in major civil engineering projects.
They replaced the 2x5 candelabras (700 Watt) hung on the upper metal beam of the bridge along with the 2x4 candelabras for the pavement (1200W) to light both its architecture its footpaths on each side.
23 waterproof and adjustable LED projectors Luminy 4 - 4040 of 17 Watt, in CRGB with a 10° optic, were installed on each side of the upper beams. Colour change is controlled with the DMX system.
With less than 800 Watt, the bridge is now illuminated. Here on the pictures, it is uplit in pink in support of “Pink October - League Against Cancer”.
