Lema UK Contract for the new Clayton City Hotel in London
Lema has been awarded another prestigious project in the hospitality sector in London, where thanks to its direct presence, it has distinguished itself as an exclusive supplier to some of the city's top projects.
Lema's Contract Division was involved with well-known architecture firm Dexter Moran Associates in the project of the new Clayton City of London, a four-star hotel with 212 rooms and suites. It is managed by Maldron Hotels & Partners and is situated in Aldgate, near the financial hub of the city, at the heart of the East End, near to the historic markets of Spitalfields, Petticoat Lane and Brick Lane.
Following the brief by well-known architecture firm Dexter Moran Associates, the refined project of contemporary interior design was inspired by the Victorian textile warehouses that rose numerous in this part of London during the 19th century.
Lema looked after the design and installation of the bespoke furnishings for the 212 rooms and suites, including the wardrobes and vanity units. Lema's Contract Division was also involved in the design of the bar area and of the restaurant, where a majestic bar counter which is a unique, one off piece was installed.
Lema has also provided customized elements for the hotel's common areas bathrooms, such as doors, windows, round mirrors, shelves and marble sills with iron profiles.
A new challenge which adds itself to the ever-growing portfolio of Lema Contract in the UK, which today, thanks to its direct presence on the territory, is one of the first Italian companies in terms of volume for residential and hospitality contract projects in London.
Clayton City of London was nominated for the prestigious International Design Excellence Awards 2019 in the category Rooms and Suites.
