Lema - The art of dialogue. Collection 2020: new dialogues, new stories.

Lema unveils the 2020 projects as chapters of a harmonious creative narrative.

Lema presents a large number of innovations to enlarge the Lema Casa collection consisting of padded furniture, seats, tables, complements as well as systems for the living area and bedrooms, which have always been Lema’s core business. Commencing from modular systems, the company has been able to evolve over 50 years, constructing a complete proposal: an idea of living, a contemporary lifestyle with a discreet, elegant, understated atmosphere. For homes that are designed as made-to-measure, just like tailor-made clothes, aimed at the greatest possible emotional comfort that however does not exclude the personality and the sensitivity of those who own them. Spaces where design enters discreetly, lifestyles that are distant from pretentiousness.

Signing the 2020 projects are designers close to Lema’s world, as well as new creative collaborations: Piero Lissoni, Lema’s art director since 1994, designs the SESTO table; Roberto Lazzeroni presents the collection of LUCYLLE chairs; Dainelli Studio signs the MADDIX armchair and Matteo Nunziati creates the TARSIA armchair.

Result of new collaborations are the VENISE sofa system, the YAKI sofa bed, the GULLWING table, the FLORENS sideboard, the ORTIS coffee tables and the ALEY pouf designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti and the UMA bench by Federica Biasi.

Lema also presents the upgrade of the PLAIN modular bookcase by Francesco Rota and the new finishes of the BULÈ table by Chiara Andreatti.

As for Armadio al Centimetro, Lema introduces the brand new fabric-effect melamine finishes for all the wardrobes doors of the system and the new hinge for the corner door of the Dandy wardrobe that allows a 180-degree opening. Another new product, presented in absolute preview for 2021, is the all-glass wardrobe Tian. Whether used in the middle of the room as an island or placed against the wall, Tian is a system in the system: its architecture, defined by brand new aluminium frames, integrates unconstrained into the other wardrobes of the Armadio al Centimetro programme, ensuring the greatest compositional freedom.

As always, Lema’s proposals are conceived to dialogue amongst themselves but at the same time to also live as single pieces, adapting themselves to personal homes and lifestyles. The brand offers collections of highly customisable products which reconfirm the combination of the efficiency of hi-tech industry and the expertise of deep, artisanal traditions. Designs that are very different from one another for their rhythm and stylistic signature, however, all conceived as the harmonic notes of a single score. A balanced ensemble that assimilates Lema’s peculiar identity by revealing, once again, the brand’s innate ability to unite multiple characteristics into a single collection.

An articulated concept where dialogue represents, on the one hand, the idea of home as a privileged space of relationships and sharing, and on the other hand, the meeting point of forms and materials, aesthetics and function that characterises Lema’s proposals. And again, dialogue as an expression of the relationship between Lema, its products and the public.
