A new home in Rossano Veneto, located within a small village in the province of Vicenza, is surrounded by nature and just a short distance from the bustle of towns such as Bassano del Grappa and Castelfranco Veneto.

A residence designed and built ad-hoc by Studio Didonè Comacchio Architects for a young couple looking for a permanent home where they can raise a family.

The newly-constructed private house, split across two floors, unfurls within a building consisting of two volumes: a stone base that ends with a large concrete slab that “supports” the upper floor characterised by two strata.Thanks to the positioning on the lot and the arrangement of the internal spaces of the house, distributed on a lineal plan, the main openings face south and west so as to optimise the light and ensure the best views of the garden.The entrance then leads to the living room. Here, the environment is enhanced by a double-height space and by the contrast obtained with an exposed concrete wall, behind which is a hidden staircase leading to the walkway that accesses the three bedrooms of the home. Great attention was paid to the lighting project, designed to emphasise the environments with a perfect fusion of natural and artificial light, achieved thanks to the Linea Light Group fixtures.

The aim of the lighting project was to create atmospheres within the home, favouring illumination on the work surfaces, such as the kitchen bench or the desk. What is truly striking in the living area is the double height of the space, exalted through the installation of three single-emission Tour suspension lights at different heights and with varying diameters, all embellished with gold finishes. The final effect is that of a play of light, a refined dynamism that underscores the elegance of this part of the house. The gold finish was also selected for the Baton, the white version of the LED reflectors, fitted both in the passageways, such as the corridors, and in the areas separating the living area and the kitchen, and finally along the walkways in the kitchen. Discrete and truly elegant (with the contrast between the rigidity of the concrete where they have been installed seeming to further accentuate this refined aspect), they allow perfect control of the light thanks to the special integrated lens, whilst visual comfort is ensured by the set-back position of the LED light source.

For the kitchen island, the Straight suspension lamp with a modern and minimal design was chosen, guaranteeing particular and precise light, perfect for working. To finish, Ribbon LED strips have been installed beneath the wall units, in the dining room under the shelving and in the living room above the TV.

From the living room, the stairway leading to the upper floor is illuminated with the Regolo, the aluminium wall lamp with simple and discreet lines that recall the shape of a brick, being perfect in any environment thanks to an extremely effective indirect emission.The master bedroom is illuminated thanks to the Square suspension light whose lines recall those of the double bed. Also on the upper floor, the bathrooms are lit with the Rossini_S, a small, spherical-shaped ceiling light that fits perfectly into the context in which it is installed, thanks to the various finishes that allow for multiple applications.

Great attention is also paid to the outdoor lighting project created for the spacious garden surrounding the house. The aim was to emphasise the architecture of the house from the outside, paying special attention to the elements present. The Portik downlight was used to set the rhythm of the porticos. With a black finish to match the exterior of the house, the Portik utilises an optical assembly consisting of a reflector with the innovative FOL™ filter system for homogeneous light projection. To illuminate the walkways and exalt the stone of the external walls, a mix of lighting solutions was envisaged with the Orma path markers and Alcor uplights. Finally, the Clivo and Eyelet projectors were paired with solutions from the Oh! family to emphasise the greenery, plants and shrubs.
