OMB Saleri

Office lighting

Founded in 1980 in Brescia, OMB Saleri is a mechanical company producing valves for gas management in the automotive sector, having always been characterised by a strong drive towards innovation, not only in terms of production but also from an organisational perspective. Indeed, an entire team of experts is dedicated to creating state-of-the-art products for the aerospace, defence and cryogenics markets. For this reason, it was decided to expand the headquarters with the construction of a new building, for use both as a production area with technological machinery and as a management area with offices dedicated to design.

The new building, which occupies a total area of 7,000 square metres, is connected to the existing older building by an external walkway on the first floor.

The building includes a large 4,500-square-metre warehouse organised with highly-specialised machinery for the production of hydrogen valves, along with 1,500 square metres across two floors that have been set aside for executive and operational offices and meeting rooms and finally, a large outdoor green area extending 1,500 square metres dedicated to the wellbeing of workers.

Both inside the offices and outside, the new workspaces are characterised by a lighting design that is attentive and meticulous down to the smallest detail, characterised by the use of innovative, high-performance luminaires, capable of satisfying different design requirements.

A detailed lighting study focused on allowing workers to operate in the utmost lighting comfort whilst highlighting the modern lines and architecture of the building, without being obtrusive. With this brief, a number of Linea Light Group luminaires were chosen which, thanks to their versatility and ease of installation, proved to be the perfect solution.

In the office area, a variety of solutions were used. For the ground floor, the Rollip60 system was chosen to illuminate the operative offices whereas the Clear system was installed in the open-plan offices on either side of the passageways, in turn illuminated with the Modus modular suspension system utilised in many variants and with different accessories. Again to illuminate the small meeting rooms on the second floor, the Modus suspension lights (with ad-hoc solutions thanks to the various accessories available) were paired with the elegant style of the Mini Albatros. These are transparent and light suspensions that, thanks to OptiLight Technology™, guarantee optimal visual comfort when switched on, only to disappear entirely from view when switched off.

Great attention was also paid to the outdoor lighting, where the Vedette wall lamp proved to be the most effective solution. Its minimalist design exalts not only the modern, linear architecture of the building but also the garden and the transition areas between the old and new building. Installed in both single and dual emission mode, the wall light creates truly evocative lighting atmospheres.

Finally, the Rubber LED strip, inserted in the new D-Wave profile, used to illuminate the flowerbeds and Dirigo, linear element lights the walkway connecting the building to the garden.
