Mara presents its new corporate showroom

For its sixtieth anniversary Mara, prominent company specialized in the production of innovative, aesthetic and functional furniture elements for the office and the community, presents its new corporate showroom, located inside its historic headquarters, just outside the city of Brescia. The restyling and the interior design of the exhibition spaces were designed by the architect Francesco Barbi, designer of some of Mara products, such as the iconic B-302 bookcase, Savio table and Liana chair and by Mara’s artistic, marketing and communication direction.

“Moving Colours” is the name that identifies the design concept: a completely renovated space, where niches and colourful walls provide evocative scenography and furnishing ideas for the office, the corporate world and the community.

Pastel nuances and colourful contrasts, lighting effects and shade lead the visitor through a path, which enhances not only the company’s iconic products, but also the latest ones and the entire collection.

Expositive full-height parallelepipeds, reconfigurable for different scenic designs, outline spaces, creating an elegant visual game of geometries.

A dynamic and flexible showroom, just like Mara’s collections, able to evolve according to exhibition needs and able to harmoniously give rhythm to the spaces.

“For Mara we wanted to create a warm and welcoming space, which can reflect the dynamism that characterizes the company and the adaptability of the products, as well as highlighting the important industrial technology that underpins the entire production – tells the architect Francesco Barbi - With this idea we have created important parallelepipeds which, in addition to give rhythm to the environment through colourful backdrops and settings, outline a path where you can discover the collections and admire evocative views over the most sophisticated production department”.

The visitor is rapidly intrigued by the view over the production. The feeling of being in the backstage of a theatre, which allows the visitor to witness some processes carried out by important machineries of latest generation, which cut, bend and weld, oversaw by Mara’s personnel.

Inside the showroom the chromatic choices of the products contrast with the soft colours of the walls, which frame a clean and essential location, where the product plays the leading role. Particular importance was given to the corners dedicated to Follow, the new collection of ultra- height adjustable tables and to the multifunctional and space-saving Argo and Timmy collections. Another important space was dedicated to the presentation of different solutions for the educational and conference world: schools, universities, libraries, conference rooms and waiting areas.

“It is with great pleasure that we present a completely renovated showroom, which reflects Mara’s new brand identity – says Laura Marchina, AD of the company – despite the period, where the main trade fairs were called off, we thought it was important to create a pleasant place designed to meet and to exchange ideas with clients and architects, where you can discover all the latest products in complete safety”.

For Mara the showroom is a space for work and sharing, a space to live and to interact with. Everything has been studied in detail: from the choice of materials, colours and finishing to the interplay of light and shade, which highlight stylistic details, giving a pleasant visual effect to an emotional environment.
