Profile 6: the only fibre cement profiled sheeting

Profile 6 was chosen because it played a key role in meeting strict planning requirements.

Architects Race Cottam Associates initially selected Profile 6 because it offers a rural aesthetic that complimented existing buildings on site, some of which are listed. Critically for the planners, Profile 6 ensured that the building remained sympathetic to the location of the site in the Green Belt and within a Conservation Area.

Profile 6 from Marley Eternit is the only fibre cement profiled sheeting to be manufactured in the UK. The material is resistant to corrosion, which is particularly important in agricultural environments and typically has an installed life of at least 50-years, providing Whirlow Hall Farm with a long term, low maintenance solution.

David Speddings, Director of Race Cottam Associates, said: We specified fibre cement Profile 6 in Grey because the aesthetic is sensitive to the sites Green Belt location and surrounding buildings, which ultimately helped us to gain planning permission. Profile 6 provided a durable, low-maintenance solution for the farm, in replacing an old dilapidated turkey shed, and offered excellent value for money for the Whirlow Hall Farm charity.
