BAKED INOX, the new version of stainless steel by Mina

Literally Stainless Steel baked in the oven for the tapware collections in the catalogue.

Baked Inox. Literally Stainless Steel baked in an oven.

Not another material, not an applied paint or coating that could be ruined by cleaning. Nothing but steel that reacts naturally to heat and becomes coloured, covering itself with calamine, a self-produced protective layer that penetrates deep into the material.

This is why Mina, which by choice has never wanted to push galvanic or PVD treatments on “its” AISI 316L stainless steel, now chooses to dress differently. It changes its dress with a natural process to which the material is exposed.

With heat, tensions are released and the surface changes. But as in all transformations in nature, control is only over the variables of the process, not the end result.

The plants maintain strict standards in temperature, heating time and degree of humidity. But each form is living matter and reacts differently.

Baked Inox is highly variable in its nuances. Unique and handcrafted in every piece.

And this, too, could only be a choice akin to Mina.

Tailored work means thinking about the individual project, the individual product. This is why variability does not frighten us. On the contrary, it makes each space even more original and unrepeatable.

The important thing is to keep the quality of the raw material and the rigorous precision of the mechanical work unchanged, and then follow carefully tested process standards.

For this reason we have subjected Baked Inox to stress tests for wear and corrosion, obtaining interesting results, certifying the total absence of toxic substances in water.

It is steel, and it is confirmed, as always, as the most correct choice in terms of health.

So here is a new version of Mina stainless steel, available for all the collections in the catalogue and also for made-to-measure articles.

Baked Inox is a unique proposal in the tapware market.

Very distinctive, very raw, very Mina.
