MISAPOR insulating and fair-faced concrete

Unlike conventional concretes, MISAPOR Concrete is mixed with foamed recycled glass (MISAPOR granulate) which provides the insulating function. MISAPOR Concrete can be used in a monolithic installation, i.e. without the addition of any other insulating materials, which always make the walls relatively thick. The special advantage of the new MISAPOR Concrete core insulating system (CIS) is thinner walls, yet with excellent U-values. In both cases, the result is a fair-faced concrete surface, both inside and out. By touching the material it is possible to see how it differs from conventional fair-faced concrete: The porous surface of this insulating concrete feels softer, as well as considerably warmer, than ‘conventional'' concrete surfaces. Architects prefer MISAPOR Concrete because of its stability and outstanding resistance to ageing.
