It''s a lightweight chair constructed with a minimal set of materials having slim boards and tapered bars. Although the overall shape is different, its predecessor, "hozuki" has the same structure in which stretchers are crossed under the seat. Thus, the name with the same suffix, "-zuki". The curved boards and the round carved frames display dynamic wood grain.

The design of the Clamp Chair was driven by the idea to create comfortable yet light wooden furniture, which emphasize the beauty of the wood material and modern craftsmanship. Its appearance is characterized through the seamless transitions between all parts. Prototyping was repeated a number of times to ensure comfortable seating experiende. Being slim yet lightweight, the chair has been brought to completion as seen in the shape of the top rail and the hollowed-out seat. The chairs are designed so that they can be stacked straight up in an orderly and beautiful manner.
