An exciting ventilation grille

The new Telekom administration building in Hamburg integrates perfectly into the Barmbeker surroundings. Visually, the building adapts to the district. The Fuhleseite has six floors, as most of the buildings on this street. At the Maurienstrasse the Telekom building has only four floors. A red-brown ceramic facade reminiscent of classic Barmbeker red clinker optics. The special construction of the building goes back to the difficult cut of the property. There arised a V-shaped building with approximately 12,000 square meters of gross floor area. Around the building MLL ventilation grilles were installed. They are clamped in masonry openings and serve partially as a replacement for the windows. Thus, a good indoor climate has been created for this building, which ensures the aeration and ventilation of the interior spaces. The MLL ventilation grilles are provided with fly and bird protection grids, which protects against direct ingress of rain and the ingress of leaves and birds.
