With its two iconic collections, Primum and Elle Collection, high end designer furniture manufacturer from Bosnia and Herzegovina demonstrated leadership in contemporary and innovative designer furniture in the Southeast Europe Region. “We are on the way of entering the very top of globally recognised furniture manufacturers in solid wood designer segment,” stated the company whose manufacturing facilities are located in the town of Fojnica.

German Design Award 2018

MS&WOOD received a double award in the competition widely known as German Design Award 2018. Designed by Ado Avdagic, Winner in the category Excellent Product Design went to Primum Collection sideboard whereas Special Mention in the same category went to Elle Collection chair designed by Natasa Perkovic.

Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation 2016-17

In just 12 months MS&WOOD has been awarded 4 times. In 2016, German Design Council Jury awarded Primum chair and Primum table. A year later, in 2017, the Jury awarded Elle chair and Elle table. These products received Winner awards in the Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation competition primarily focused on innovative design and furniture.

Grace and Functionality

The kind of “timeless furniture”, as it is described, is manufactured by most sophisticated wood processing technologies and is combined with classical carpentry techniques and hand finishing. Whilst Elle Collection is thought to be “sophisticated beauty” utilizing minimal quantity of material to reach optimal structural size, Primum Collection is somewhat robust yet gracious and original.

Ecology

MS&WOOD factory is located in an idyllic Bosnian town of Fojnica. Fojnica is located in close proximity to Sarajevo and is situated at the foot of the mountain Vranica known to be one of the largest mountains in this country. Manufacturing process is entirely subject to environmental protection proudly featuring a developed maximal energy efficiency system. Thus far, MS&WOOD employees, in cooperation with the local community, planted more than 30.000 trees.

Education

Acting on MS&WOOD’s initiative, Fojnica started a wood processing vocational- technical high school. To facilitate the voc-tech high school operations, MS&WOOD offered a scholarship program supporting all students and opening up opportunities for top performing students. MS&WOOD College emerged out of this broader initiative and the “lifetime learning” concept has been consistently applied in its curriculum. In

addition to high school students, M&WOOD College is being attended by current workers and managers who want to advance their careers and become highly adept master craftsmen and engineers.
