Haliç 'Metro Crossing Bridge'
NedZink NOVA in the historic center of Istanbul
In the Turkish city of Istanbul you will find a 1000 meter long bridge over the tributary of the Bosphorus in Turkish Haliç, better known as the Golden Horn. This Haliç Metro Crossing Bridge connects the metro line Yenikapı–Taksim. An integrated swing bridge is made to also allow large ships access to Haliç.
For the cladding of the platform construction, a curved standing seam system carried out in NedZink NOVA, pre-weathered titanium zinc with a matte subtle brushed surface, was chosen. Right from day one, the natural grey surface of NedZink NOVA, gives the ultra-modern bridge in the historic center of Istanbul the desired appearance. Choosing NedZink NOVA means choosing a natural, maintenance-free and extremely durable building material.
The favorable ecological properties of NedZink products were tested and validated by the independent German ‘Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.’ The EPDs allocated for this can be downloaded from our website www.nedzink.com.
