NEOLITH® Polished finish by Spanish Sintered Compact Surface manufacturer TheSize has received the prestigious Plus X Award seal of approval for Innovation, High Quality, Design, and Functionality. Earlier this week, the company was also presented with the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Gold Award Certificate in the Surface & Technology category.

Introduced in 2014, NEOLITH® Polished finish, featuring in the NEOLITH® Classtone Collection, stands out for its high degree of gloss, and a perfectly linear reflection that mirrors the way precious marbles and stones look naturally. The finish adds depth, realism and sophistication to any given design.

NEOLITH® Polished finish is completely non-porous and can be infused on to different digitally decorated decors to enhance the beauty of each design. Furthermore, the finish does not stain, and its hardness is equal to that of quartz. Thermal shock tests have been conducted (pan with hot oil at 180 degrees Celsius) to prove that the Polished finish can withstand extreme heat conditions without fading or cracking.

The finish goes through a kiln to melt and fuse the components, creating a perfectly flat linear reflection that offers a higher degree of shine without the need for sealing the slab. This process creates the exclusive Polished effect that is suitable for an array of applications, including worktops, interior or exterior wall cladding and interior floors with low traffic.

Now in its 13th year, the Plus X Award is the world’s largest innovation award for Technology and Lifestyle. An international and independent panel of judges from 25 industries are selecting award entries based on criteria such as extraordinary design, outstanding ergonomic and ecological features, as well as the quality of the material.
