Novality at the EIT Raptor Summit

Sharing our Riga experience

On 11th May we had the opportunity to present for ten minutes our experience in Riga at the Raptor Summit that took place at the EIT Urban Mobility headquarters in Barcelona.

The first speakers were Maria Tsavachidis, CEO, and Gareth MacNaughton, Director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships respectively at EIT Urban Mobility. Both stressed the need for practical innovation to achieve the urgent goal set by the European Union to achieve a climate-neutral continent.

By 2050, 68% of the population will live in urban areas that will demand efficient and tailor-made solutions to solve their urban mobility problems, which will undoubtedly have to go down the path of sustainability.

Representatives from four of the twelve cities presenting their Raptor challenges this year then took the floor, followed by a round table discussion to share their expectations and objectives for the 2023 programme.

Novality will be participating with its M20 model, which can accommodate 10 bicycles on one side and 10 electric scooters on the other in the same space as a car parking space.

We would like to congratulate and thank the event organisers for allowing us to actively participate, continuing with the task of giving visibility to our project at European level.
