Skydoors – Vertical Horizons

The door that reaches for the sky

The new Skydoors aluminium cladding line chooses to focus on verticality to create a whole new design with well-defined lines that seem to reach for the sky.

With the Skydoors cladding, Oikos presents an elegant entrance architecture with a wealth of technical details that enhance it without detracting from the dominant role of aesthetics and design in the door.

Skydoors' Direttrice model allows the predominance of the vertical line to be emphasised by the subtraction of space between the slats, which are available in different widths (from 75 to 210 mm) and are kept at the same distance from each other by a precise fixing insert. In addition, the insertion of an aluminium profile, spacing between the slats, gives rhythm and sophistication to the design of the entire covering.

The Orizzonte model of Skydoors presents, unlike the direct version, a horizontal demarcation mark that manages to interrupt the verticality that dominates this entire line of claddings. The horizontal mark, a peculiarity of the model, is an aluminium groove that becomes a decorative element either harmonious with the finish of the covering or contrasting if it is accentuated with a different colour. In the two different models, in any

case, it must be emphasised that the dominant aspect of the entrance architecture continues to be the vertical line directed upwards by its very nature.

The handle is an integral part of the door's design: it harmonises perfectly with the vertical slats, then accommodates the door-opening accessories, whose built-in glass support succeeds in embellishing the hi-tech housings.

Finally, Skydoors proposes various families of aluminium finishes that dialogue boldly with contemporary architecture, and each of them has specific features that are surprising in their visual and tactile outcomes.
