Coworking Hangar

Studio PLACE Milano- Arch. Christian Fenouil

The aesthetic harmony of Panaria Ceramica’s Chic Wood collection characterizes the floor surfaces of the hangar, an multipurpose area inside the Business Center at Via Valla 16, Milan, located in a modern four-storey building with areas up to 200 sq m designed as offices and coworking areas.

The space can accommodate up to 70 workstations and has areas for events, meetings, training rooms, break areas and services, as well as an indoor car park. Located near the centre of Milan, a short distance from the picturesque Navigli district, the area boasts a good location in relation to the main intraurban and extraurban roads. The project, designed by architect Christian Fenouil of the PlaceMilano firm, is an excellent example of redevelopment of urban buildings in a degraded area. All the existing structural elements were recovered without any demolition, accentuating the ‘60s reinforced concrete structure.

The interior is enhanced with porcelain stoneware tiles from the “Chic Wood” collection in the “Coco” variant in the rectified 20x120 cm size with a 10 mm thickness, used to cover the entire 500 sq m floor, meeting the requirements of the project.

Taking original inspiration from the warmth of wood and its different varieties, “Chic Wood” defines space, making it welcoming thanks to the soft veins and subtle colours that decorate surfaces emphasized by large formats, enabling the creation of rooms with simple elegance and meticulous attention to detail.

The unique Chic Wood surfaces, which are uniform and do not feature knots, are perfect for enhancing and embellishing rooms through 5 variants that evoke shades of wood: Milk, Honey, Foam, Coco and Amber. Featuring a composite design, the collection perfectly combines large formats, all rectified and monocaliber, for floors and walls, and is completed with a wide range of decorations that can be used to create infinite combinations and installation solutions. There are two 10 mm-thick finishes in the 30x120 and 20x120 cm formats: natural for furnishing indoor spaces and the ext. surface for outdoor application. Additionally, there is a 20 mm-thick version in the 30x120 cm format that is ideal for impressive and functional outdoor interpretations.

Moreover, Chic Wood enjoys the protection of PROTECT®, an antibacterial shield incorporated in the ceramic product that eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria from the surface. For a healthy, safe and protected home.
