Smart building control in luxurious villa
Controlpro controls design villa
Located in Austrias's most southern province Carinthia, this design holiday home is equipped with a KNX bus system and controlled via the PEAKnx Controlpro touch panel. All common building control functions can be adapted by using the Gira QuadClient and ensure the right feel-good factor on holiday.
Modern architecture meets building automation
Since 2015, vacationers have been able to spend their holidays in the luxurious Bauhaus-style villa on the outskirts of Spittal/Drau, near Lake Millstatt. Surrounded by nature, lakes and mountains, you can enjoy the Mediterranean climate on the south side of the Alps in summer, while in winter the ski area is just a few kilometers away. The house, designed by architect Gerfried Ogris, offers 357m² with 5 bedrooms for up to 10 overnight guests. The villa is equipped to a high standard: premium brand furniture as well as selected art and design objects adorn the well thought-out room concept. The large glass facades transport nature into the living rooms and bedrooms and invite you to linger. A spacious garden and the stainless steel pool embedded in the L-shape of the villa complement the property.
Controlpro provides comfort and control
The modern building can be completely controlled via the PEAKnx Controlpro. Built into a natural stone wall by our integration partner Smarthome Krainer the Controlpro fits perfectly into the high-quality interior design of the villa. After the previously used Gira Control19 was damaged by a lightning strike, the decision was made to use the Controlpro from PEAKnx. In particular, the demand for many years of flawless use was the focus of the decision when selecting the right panel. In addition, the PEAKnx panel was able to score points due to its openness to other visualizations on the market. The low-energy house is equipped with its own photovoltaic system. The energy management can be monitored at any time via the Controlpro. Of course, the house is fully air-conditioned and has controlled room air monitoring and humidification to ensure a pleasant room climate at all times. Each room is also equipped with an Alexa so that the building can also be controlled by voice command.
