The heart of a prestigious apartment in Monaco
In the heart of the prestigious Carré d'Or, within one of the most exclusive residences in the Principality of Monaco, a refined interior project takes shape, celebrating the excellence of bespoke design and the extraordinary beauty of natural stone. In this luxury apartment, the choice of materials and sartorial attention to detail create sophisticated environments where elegance and functionality coexist in perfect balance.
Striated travertine, a natural stone with warm tones and longitudinal veining, was selected as the star material for cladding, flooring and custom furniture solutions. The master bathroom, made entirely of travertine, is distinguished by an open-spot shower tray and finely finished walls designed for humid environments. Completing the scene, a custom-made sink in Verde Alpi marble introduces an elegant color contrast with its deep, natural hues, making the room unique and full of personality.
In the service bathroom, the same material combination is reinterpreted with a more compact, but equally neat design: the recessed washbasin in Verde Alpi, enriched by three risers, is transformed into a sculptural element that gives depth to the space, while the travertine floor creates coherence with the other rooms in the house.
The kitchen, the true functional heart of the home, expresses the full potential of striated travertine through a visually striking custom design. The kitchen countertop, sink and backsplash were made with continuous vein work, which enhances the natural symmetry of the stone. The travertine herringbone floor, in dialogue with the living room's Pointe de Hongrie parquet, confirms the attention to stylistic coherence and space harmony.
Completing the project is a refined countertop for the wine cellar/bar, also in striated travertine, and a material palette that elegantly echoes all the rooms in the apartment, unifying the design through the natural beauty of stone.
