Planium and Simes
Franciacorta 2017 - Planium returns to collaborate with one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the Territory. Now Simes completes the renovation of its showroom with a new Planium system, that can achieve a pleasant stylistic and chromatic contrast with the historic SistemaMen in the 600x600mm format. The light and bright embossed finish, the presence of the 4 angular screws, the black joints are open to PL01 Invisible Floor and to Calamine steel.
Calamine or laminate casting or black oxide is a layer of oxide that forms on the surface of steel products during hot machining. Calamine slabs assume colors, ranging from blue to anthracite, finally black. The material has nuances and flames of golden and reddish tones that, in contact with air and moisture, are amplified by the natural oxidation process.
Designers wished to obtain with the flooring a depth effect and a precise connotation. Calamine steel knows how to astonish.
The loose-lay plates are installed without any need for adhesives, so the work is always fluid. The Planium systems are equipped with patented fasteners that allow the tiles to be locked: 2 technicians are able to cover a surface of about 100sqm. The cuts on the tiles are performed and completed with the various finishes. The rectangular size of the plates, in the 600x1,200mm dimension, gives a clean, linear surface look. Once the installation is finished, we apply a thin layer of wax with polishing and waterproofing action.
