Planium for the DASA museum

News in Germany

Towards the end of 2017, work began on increasing the DASA exhibition space in Dortmund, Germany. DASA, with an average of 180,000 visitors per year, is a unique museum in its genre: it, in fact, explores and explains the theme "Man-Work-Technique".

Planium is introduced in the area dedicated to the Future of Work. Our company exports and spreads its particular finishes and its latest-generation flooring systems and installs them thanks to collaborations of trustful partnership. For this context, the Calamine finish was chosen in dry laid tiles with the PL01 Invisible system. The new surface will be able to decisively renew the space. Nuances ranging from blue to gray, from petroleum to anthracite, this particular type of steel shows the heterogeneity of the creative world: uniqueness of the plates, color contrasts, every single element is unrepeatable and rich in copper-colored flames.

The required format, 1,200x2,400 mm, covers and enhances 576 square meters, resting on the original floor, without affecting it. This is a parquet floor that the end client, together with the Zurich design team, has decided to preserve. PL01 Invisible is an absolutely removable and infinitely repositionable flooring system and is the most suitable solution, especially when installation times are very tight. Once the installation is over, the surface is polished with a special wax to waterproof and maintain the appearance of the material.

Our products always imply design, innovation, attention to quality and functionality. It is possible to lay all types of metal finishes with a simple gesture and with a quick overall execution.

The innovation present in the dry laying system, reversible and one-click, the contemporaneousness of the Calamine finish, its recyclability, the industrial style perfectly integrate into the surrounding environment.
