THE DARK SHADED TONES OF CALAMINA AND THE BRIGHT AND GOLDEN NOTES OF BRASS

Anthracite Gray and Air Force Blue with Gold, Colors for Artistic Scenarios

Anthracite Gray with shades of Air Force Blue and Gold, cold and warm, dark and light, a tasteful color contrast with an ancient flavor that Art has made transversal use of. For Planium, this combination involves placing two metals side by side: Calamine steel and Brass.

Calamine is dark, its shady tones range from Anthracite to shades of Air Force Blue. A unique material, which resembles none other than itself, which is obtained by hot rolling steel. Through waxing, its coloring can further stand out, creating effects of brilliance. It is a metal that arouses feelings similar to abstractionism and for this reason it has been much chosen by architects in recent years.

Brass is warm and golden, yet it contains the cold notes of green, a little hidden, almost to be discovered. Like Calamine, this metal can be laid on the floor or on the wall, for coatings that give a chromatic background to the chosen environment. Combined together, these two shades generate a strong alternation and overall completeness.

References in the Art

The painting has combined the two colors to often represent the sun and the sea or the sky, but we all remember, for example, Vincent Van Gogh's “Wheat Field with Crows” and “Starry Night”; in gold and blue is also a well-known painting by Juan Mirò. The lilies of St. Louis of the French Capetian dynasty are always gold and represented on a blue background. This composition - Blue and Gold - is also very reminiscent of the Art Nouveau or Liberty that was in vogue in the old Europe of the Belle Epoque. Now, with the 1920s of another century, this style of shapes and colors brings back its elegance.

Interior Design Made Possible Thanks to Planium Laying Systems

A steel and a Copper alloy combined, therefore, produce this effect in the design of surfaces that find unique and original solutions starting from historical inspirations.

Planium has designed innovative dry installation systems for floor installations of these metal textures. The one with magnetic coupling, MG01 Magnetic Floor; AP01 Lay with laying on support; PL01 Invisible with One-click installation; SM02 Evolution, mechanical with visible angle screws that guarantee an Industrial stylistic effect. These systems save time, energy and money as they are particularly suitable for quick installation and removal at trade fair stands and temporary installations. To complete the offer, there are the traditional glue ones for fixing to the floor and wall, AC01 Stick-on and AC02 Stick-on.
