Relais San Vigilio Bergamo, Italy
A gem set on the San Vigilio hill
The Hotel Relais in San Vigilio is an accommodation facility located on the homonymous hill, on the ruins of an ancient castle.
The aim of the project was twofold: on the one hand, enhancing the place through scenic lighting that would surprise the visitor, on the other hand giving an accent to the rest and conviviality areas through effective service lighting that is not invasive.
For products on display, the choice fell on luminaires with a linear design, with a rustic, yet modern flavour that best reflects the characteristics of the architecture. In other spots, where the luminaire had to be hidden to reveal only the light effect, small products with high luminous performance were chosen.
The Nano XL projector is used to create accents of light on the tree canopies; the Nano projector, thanks to its small size, is ideal to illuminate the pergolas of the restaurant tables and Mini Corniche was chosen to illuminate the flowerbeds from below and emphasise the stone walls. Finally, to provide the stairs with a scenographic but functional light, the Frame recessed wall recessed luminaire and the Pico full stainless steel marker were chosen.
