Yes, we know, invisibile lights are everywhere.

Led is a must, minimalist designs are the "new black", spot and recessed lights are cheaper than a floor or a pendant lamp. Everything sounds right, but in the same way the idea of interior design has to keep in mind how decorative lamps are going to come back again as main actor in every project. Not only sofas, not only kitchens, not only beds: technical lights cannot substitute the elegant shape of blown glass pendants, the light diffusion of an opal white glass, the beauty of a nice design, the needs of your eyes and your heart for beatiful things that make you happy.

A decorative lamp is part of your character and it has to last for 20 years as one of your best companions. This is goal of a design piece: become part of your daily life.

Yes, we know also some design needs a Led strip or a Led module.

But don't forget that the classical bulbs are also available in Led version with nice Color Rendering Index (CRI) at lower prices comparing last years. Do you know how to replace a Led module? Probably not, but you know how to replace a E27 bulb. This things has to be considered when you choose a lamp, due the fact Led are changing faster as any other technology and a lamp you bought yesterday maybe will not be available very soon.

The pleasure of the design

When you see a decorative light, the first feedback is "I like" or "I don't". Easy, simple, honest, personal, indisputable. Then you can speak about Kelvin, Cri, Watt, etc. And this is the passion that drives a decorative lighting manufacturer: he can create a dialogue with everyone, from a 7 years old girl to an archistar in NYC.

This is another goal of a design piece: being loved or hated at first sight.
