Carrera in Denia: a transition space between home and Mediterranian
In Dénia, Pratic’s Carrera P bioclimatic pergola transforms the outdoor space into a natural extension of the home: an elegant, modular space that combines comfort, design, and the Mediterranean landscape, enhancing outdoor living all year round.
Living the outdoor as a room ingrained to the house: this is the principal guiding the project made by Dénia, in the Valencian community, inside a villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Here, the intense relationship between the landscape reflects the idea of an outdoor going beyond the functional expansion, outlining a transition that unites the domestic dimension to the natural one.
To make it possible there are three Pratic’s Carrera P modules, studied by the architect Febronia Volatile and by the retailer Struttura Home to amplify the light, air and the landscape’s perception. Inserted without continuity solutions compared to the main villa’s volume, this accompanies the transition from the house to the garden and to the pool, with a special and sensorial continuity that facilitates a fluid living experience.
The project was born from a double necessity: to guarantee solar protection and climatic comfort, as well as to benefit from a space adjustable depending on the needs. Living room, leisure area, dining room: the pergola becomes a hybrid space that offers new usage possibilities and a better living quality.
In this way, a zone considered before only as a passage becomes the everyday life’s central space that opens to live the open air in a completely spontaneous way. A functional valorisation but aesthetic too, that sees in traditional and contemporary in a perfect balance – on one side, the villa’s architecture preserves the local context’s typical traits; on the other side, the pergola introduces a more actual language, making an original harmony.
In this context, Pratic’s bioclimatic pergola Carrera P combines technical performances and architectural quality. The covering stands out for its alternate blades, fixed and mobile, that roll and they overlap on over the other following the sun movement, and creating a light and shadows game that is projected to the house’s pavement and surfaces, changing continuously the ambient perception.
A technology that allows to modulate with precision the natural light and ventilation’s contribution, guaranteeing contemporaneously a functional blinding against sun and light rain with closed coverage.
Matter, light and comfort. The full optional is custom-made
But it is through the wisely studied outfitting that the dehors acquires a welcoming atmosphere in “interior” style. From the base, the adjustable platform Set delimits the space and amplifies the comfort thanks to the material pavement, while the sliding glass wall Slide Glass 60 offers a transparent blinding that maintains intact the view of the landscape.
The vertical awnings Raso - motorized and totally pocketed – paired with the ornamental Drapes curtain add another possibility to control light and privacy, but also to create a more domestic and coherent atmosphere. The dimmable illuminations play a fundamental role: Spotlight integrated on the fixed blades, Step Lights on the posts and LED Line alongside the covering and platform’s perimeter offer infinite bright scenarios, passing from a functional light to evocative evening atmospheres.
To perfect the intervention, there are the furniture accessories Mod-Lines in a Crete green.
True and proper walls equipped, developed with a sartorial configuration, that serve as decorative and functional elements. Lastly, the Ray profiles contribute to the formal overall cleaning, conferring a greater tridimensionality and elegance.
With a dimension of 13,5 x 5 meters, Carrera P has been conceived to maintain the proportions’ harmony and the style with the existing building. The structure’s hazelnut finishes complement each other with the villa and the Mediterranean context’s shades, while the predisposition for the fans – one for each module – allows to implement the microclimatic comfort in the hottest days.
The result is a dynamic environment, capable of transforming itself throughout the day and the seasons, offering every time a new outdoor experience.
