BENTLEY LAUNCHES BENTLEY ELEMENTS WITH INSTALLATION BY MASSIMO UBERTI

Bentley kicks off its series of collaborative artistic work at Design Miami

With Bentley Elements, the British luxury automotive brand Bentley has launched a series of artistic collaborations imagined by creative directors Duncan Campbell and Charlotte Rey of the agency Campbell-Rey. Each year, the company will commission a new piece that represents the brand’s values and illustrates elements of the car’s construction.

The first installation debuted at last week’s Design Miami with ‘The Elements of Light’ from Italian artist Massimo Uberti. Campbell and Rey were inspired by the neon-lit vehicle audit bays where cars are meticulously inspected before they leave site. This led to the involvement of Umbert, who is known for his bare-bones work neon tube lights.

Uberti used his signature neon tubes to create a logic-defying room complete with windows, a doorway and furniture. Blurring reality and imagination, the installation creates a unique space for contemplation while also blending the technology and innovation, which so perfectly represent Bentley as a brand. The piece was displayed at the Miami Design District Gallery Space through yesterday.
