London-based artist recreates pictures of our cities at night
We’ve all been amazed by the images taken from the International Space Station (ISS), pictures of our countries, cities and how they look like at night. The dazzling golden images of our brightly-lit metropolises reveal their complex architecture and city planning. Highlighting the complicated way humans have rearranged their environment to suit their needs. London-based artist Marc Khachfe became quite obsessed with these pictures. When he went to print a picture of London, he realized the resolution of the picture wasn’t sufficient for large format printing. So he decided to collect information, data generated from OpenStreetMap. Then working on these images using Photoshop, he got the following results! Stunning and sharp images of our cities at night, as viewed from space.
