An absolutely superb hanging chair from a Montreal-based designer

Contrary to what you might think, the Solo Cello hanging chair did not initially inherit its shape from the musical instrument; the chair received the name Solo Cello during the filming of its construction. In fact, the designer was originally inspired by a pair of earrings that he discovered at a gallery in Montreal, but Félix Guyon of Les Ateliers Guyon pulls his inspiration from everywhere! For his leather and steel hanging chair, he was seeking the perfect balance between sturdiness and delicacy and striving to keep it contemporary while integrating Art Deco influences.

Solo Cello is part of a collection to be launched in the near future, but if you happen to be in Canada, you can take a swing at the ALT Hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Hôtel La Ferme in Baie-Saint-Paul,Quebec.
