A holiday highlight featuring one of our favorite French designers
Ionna Vautrin has everything of the pure French designer. She’s part of this upcoming generation of designers that are no longer focused on the future and able to acknowledge their origins. She proudly claims her French heritage, a culture tangling between engineering and art. These two notions perfectly sum up her distinguished Bicnic lamp. A small lamp designed for Foscarini, Bicnic was inspired by air scoops on boats and represents an anchor for her career. She has since been working on very exciting projects, like the prestigious exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris dedicated to the history of Miss Dior and her collaboration with well-known French manufacturer Moustache.
Ionna Vautrin kindly responded to our questions during Paris Design Week, and she was nice enough to answer our holiday questions!
