A dynamic Dutch design duo

Studio Drift revisits ordinary beauty, putting it out of context and reworking it. A dandelion suddenly becomes a radiant object of wonder, while a stagnant lamp becomes a changeable flower. Indeed, Lonneke Gordijn and Ralph Nauta’s creations awaken their audience, provoking strong reactions with common inspiration. After their graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2005, the Dutch duo’s success was instant and exponential, certainly due to their use of innovative techniques, the likes of which require collaboration with scientists, engineers, R&D specialists, etc. In other words, a well-earned acclaim that is not showing signs of slowing down anytime soon.
