Ivanka scatters faceted concrete street furniture around Miami Design District

Concrete brand Ivanka is presenting its newest collection at Design Miami, including a series of chairs and footrests based on the shape of quartz.

Ivanka's QTZ Concrete edition – first shown at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during this year's Milan design week – will be displayed at two different venues during Design Miami, which officially kicks off tomorrow.

The collection was first available in stainless steel but has since been realised in concrete by Australian designer Alexander Lotersztain.

It includes a lounge chair with a headrest, a second lounger without a headrest, a table and a footrest. Each piece is available in five different colours – off-white, mouse grey, rock grey, green and tobacco. The faceted shape of each concrete piece is based on the naturally occurring forms and crystallisation process of quartz.

"This collection of concrete seating elements reflects the design's prismatic beauty as a contrast to the metal collection, and explores architectural qualities of the material and marks the constant search for innovation of Ivanka's experienced research and development team," said the brand.
