This Stool Is Made From 27 Interlocking Wood Pieces

Next month during Milan Design Week 2017, design office Carlo Ratti Associati and Italian furniture manufacturer Cassina will be unveiling their latest design named SWISH.

It’s a kinetic wood stool made from 27 thin wood elements that have been produced using CNC machinery. Each wood strip is interlocked through a system of individually designed junctions and hinges, with each being different from the other.
