Philips announces the most affordable LED light bulb ever, yours for under $5

Philips wants to put LED bulbs in every home by making them so affordable that nobody will be able to resist.

The global lighting leader, in partnership with Home Depot, launched the most affordable LED ever just in time for Earth Day. With a retail price of just $4.97, Philips’ new 60-watt equivalent LED sets a new standard in green lighting. To celebrate, Philips is sweetening the pot with a limited-time two-for-one deal, which lowers the price per bulb to under $2.50! This momentous achievement marks major change for both the green lighting industry and for regular folks who are finally able to embrace sustainable lighting without careful budgeting.

The bulb is available for sale exclusively through Home Depot’s website. Interested buyers can place an order to be shipped on May 1, or visit the stores in person in early May when the bulb will hit the shelves in most Home Depot stores.
