PINCH DESIGN’S NOELLE SOFA GETS A TIMOROUS BEASTIES MAKEOVER

The design brand turned up the textile volume at Maison & Objet 2015

Since their start in 2004, London-based design brand Pinch Design has cultivated a collection of desirable objects designed for daily life. Pinch creates furniture to be loved daily, not protected under plastic covers. Graceful and unfussy (like the the happiness-inducing Float Table), their furniture is defined by natural materials and uniform colors. Simplicity. That was until Pinch met Timorous Beasties.

Kicking it up a notch for Maison & Objet, Pinch Design teamed up with the award-winning Glaswegian design brand. Timorous Beasties is known for its bright, brilliant, sometimes off-kilter patterns, the likes of which have graced the interiors of the V&A boardroom, the UK Supreme Court, the Art Institute of Chicago and more.

Applying their Graffito Velvet to Pinch’s Noelle Sofa was much like painting on a blank canvas. The clean design served as the perfect backdrop for the paint- and graffiti-inspired textile, while providing a nice shock of energy to the collection. We approve.
