A transparent lamp that doubles as a tiny greenhouse

Milo by Lightovo is an interior glass lampshade which greatly increases light exposure for small to medium-sized blooming potted plants. The lampshade consists of a transparent hand-molded glass enclosure made using the “low-puff” method, impregnated maple wood, powder coated aluminum and a 4000-6000K LED bulb. Two large openings in the shade promote air circulation and allow easy removal of the plant, while the LED light source mimics sunlight and won’t cause plants to overheat. Milo’s shape and structure allow it to be either hung or placed on a flat surface. Lightovo has exhibited its work in Chorzów, Poland and participated in such events as the Warsaw Fair of Design and the Interior Festival in Krakow.
