An elegant study in leather, copper and concrete

Sill is a delicate-yet-substantial shelf by Rhode Island School of Design graduate Jonah Willcox-Healey. The young designer wanted to explore how thin he could cast a concrete overhang without losing strength or substance in the material. He also wanted to ensure that the shelf would be easy to install. A piece of leather protects everyday objects from the harsh concrete, and a copper peg offers the perfect place to hang a hat (or scarf…or coat…).
