ABSTRACTA’S 2014 COLLECTION AT ORGATEC

The Swedish design brand presents their innovative, sound-absorbing products

An integral part of the modern work environment is flexibility. Many office spaces are open to allow such flexibility, but open spaces also tend to generate more noise and less privacy. Fortunately, many design brands companies understand the importance of having a balance between flexibility and privacy in the office. Swedish company Abstracta is one such example – which is why their 2014 collection fits perfectly at Orgatec 2014!

The company is presenting a new addition to their existing Alumi collection by Nina Jobs with the Alumi Alcove. A flexible system that creates space within a space, the Alumi Alcove can be mounted and taken down easily. They are also sound absorbing and available in a variety of textiles.

Stitch by Stefan Borselius is a similar solution. The textile floor screens create sound absorbing barriers in the office that can easily be moved, while the soft, textured material creates a soothing and friendly atmosphere.

Stefan Borselius also designed Domo, an adaptable collection of sound-absorbing screens and tiles. The collection includes a table screen, floor screen and wall tiles. The pieces are available in many different sizes and colors and are assembled with invisible magnets. The collection also includes a magnetic accessory rail on which notes can be stuck or written direcly using a whiteboard pen.

If you’re currently poking around Orgatec, be sure to check out all of Abstracta’s products. The trade show runs until tomorrow.
