KAMEN TABLES BY STUDIO MACURA

An elegant new side table from the Dutch design studio

It’s clear that marble is still à la mode, which is perhaps why the delicate balancing act of Studio Macura’s new Kamen side tables strikes our fancy.

Studio Macura is the part-time design collection of Dutch designers Marko Macura and Ingeborg van Uden. Established in 2010, the collection encompasses accessories and furniture that are elegant yet accessible. The duo favors traditional materials such as wood, stone and glass, but they also integrate high-tech manufacturing methods like 3D printing.

Perched on the rounded marble pedestal, the ultra-thin steel tabletop seems to be in fragile equilibrium but is in fact perfectly stable. The sophisticated, timeless design is available in two different sizes. It was presented at Maison & Objet in September and will soon be available for purchase.
