The iconic Finnish brand will be present at the Modern Office & Facility trade show this month
Secto Design‘s love affair with wood began almost twenty years ago. When the design brand’s founder crossed paths with designer Seppo Koho, it was a pure match made in Scandinavian design and blonde wood.
For the past ten years the company has exclusively focused on their delicate wooden lamps, gradually creating a range that has become ubiquitous in the world of design. Their lamps are fabricated by Finnish craftsmen and made from Finnish birch veneer, which is formpressed, cut into slats, sanded and connected using rings of aircraft plywood. The light source is hidden in the lamp where the slats narrow, providing a very particular ambient illumination that is their veritable trademark.
The most recent additions to Secto Design’s collection include the flexible spiral Aspiro lamp. Trade shows have been a cornerstone of the company’s success, and their products will be present at Orgatec as part of Design Post at the end of October.
