SUPERCRAFT STUDIO’S FIRST OBJECTS

French design studio's first step into the world of product design

Supercraft is a French design studio founded by former classmates Romain Chauveau and Young-Paul Jo in 2013. The duo has since closely collaborated with Maison & Objet, working on the design of Café ELLE Déco in January 2014 as well as the trade show conference space. During Now! Le Off, they previewed their very first foray into the world of product design with a series of lovely pots for urban gardening and a super adaptable table lamp.

The Hoi pots are tiny ceramic pots that perch on the edge of a bookshelf, storage shelf or really any shelf-like ledge. Indeed, thanks to changeable cork pads of varying thickness, the pots can adapt to any thin, overhanging surface. Their elegant form is the perfect backdrop for an indoor garden.

Minimal and geometric, the Nuvem lamp can be positioned in three different ways: flat, tilted on two corners or lifted on one corner. Each position changes the angle and amount of light cast by the lamp, so it easily adapts to user needs. Currently a prototype, Chauveau and Jo are continuing to research the material that best adapts to the light’s principle function.
