SAVVY STORAGE: STUDIO MEIKE LANGER
Beautiful, modular storage from a young German designer
Someone should really get Meike Langer a crown because she is definitely the Queen of Savvy Storage. After studying at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main and at the ECAL in Lausanne, the German designer set up her Frankfurt design studio in 2010 and has since been twice nominated for the German Design Award.
Along with custom pieces, Langer specializes in intelligently designed clothes racks, hooks and storage containers. Most recently, she debuted her Salut Boxes and Empile Storage Containers, both of which can be arranged and stacked as desired. She also debuted Blanche, an elegant clothes stand made from wood and a copper-coated steel tube. All of the pieces have are functional and easy to love – the type of products that quickly find their place in your home and your heart.
