The Italian designer rethinks the traditional workshop lamp
Incipit is a Milan-based design manufacturer that is rethinking design manufacturing. The creative lab seeks to accompany young designers through the entirety of the design and manufacturing process. As part of their 2014 collection, Italian designer Tommaso Caldera designed the Tull Lamp.
The Tull Lamp revisits the typical workshop lamp composed of a metal diffuser and wire netting. Caldera kept the materials, but focused on form and color, adapting the light to the home. The metal diffuser is made from painted aluminum, while curved steel wire makes up the metal cage that casts a unique shadow.
Available in three different color schemes, the light comes with a cowhide handle making it easy to transport and comes as a floor lamp or pendant light. The lamp is also manufactured entirely in collaboration with local suppliers.
