HANEMAAI’S DESIGN FOR MODERN DAY ADVENTURES

Multifunctional adventure furniture for modern nomads

Immobile, stagnant, unchanging furniture is definitely no fun. We want furniture that adapts, grows and changes with time! Which is exactly what Dutch designer Jolien Hanemaai aims to provide. She founded her Copenhagen-based studio, Hanemaai, in 2011 and set about creating furniture that makes daily life just a bit more thrilling.

Her Infinite Home Tool is a portable object for storage. It is made from beech, leather and metal and is easy to sling on your back, so it can serve as a suitcase or as a simple shelf. Objects are held in place thanks to a system of stretchy elastic bands, which means that you don’t have to pick and choose between your favorite objects. You can take them all!

If you’re an apartment hopping modern nomad, Stretch Out is for you. It’s an easy-to-transport, indoor tent that lets you set up camp wherever you want. Beechwood and leather again make up the majority of the product, but it is complemented by elegant textile panels. Seriously though, why go home when home can come with you?

Modern furniture for a modern lifestyle.
