Ceramic espresso cups born from the magic of 3D printing
3D printing is changing the world, kids. It’s even changing the way you drink coffee. Canadian design group The Federal has presented the prototype for a 3D-printed espresso set. Rather than traditional espresso cups, the set contains two 3D-printed ceramic cups whose rectangular shape is refreshing (and perhaps impractical?). Each cup has one rounded edge from which you can drink, and they both fit perfectly on the thin wooden tray, tucked next to the wooden sugar bowl and wooden spoon that complete the set. Practical details aside, the set is an attractive use of 3D printing technology that would definitely give us one more reason to drink coffee in the morning. Not that we needed it.
