Koala Brings Comfort to the WFH Desk

When a mattress company makes a work from home desk, you know that they’re going to bring all their expertise on comfort to the game.

Koala, best known for their mattress-in-a-box, has put together a limited run of work from home desks that come complete with their signature four-hour delivery. The desk is easy to set up, and just as comfortable as their couches and beds.

“Nobody should work where they chill,” says Koala, explaining that working from a couch or a bed is both bad for your spine and makes separating work and life more difficult. Koala continues, stating, “The WFH desk has plenty of hand-sanded timber deskspace to get organised, is super-easy to put together (and take apart when needed) and is made in Australia, just down the road by our mate in Ballarat.” The desk is made from 18mm plywood and is finished with a birch veneer. The minimal design is probably best known as the Scandi style. Made to include a dedicated phone stand and a bag or headphone hook, the desk is perfect for nooks and crannies, and comes in either an adult or kids size. The desk also features a cable integration to keep your cords from becoming a mess. There’s also storage for your phone and laptop chargers, as well as “gutters” to keep your phones, tablets, and other devices organised.

Putting the desk together is a simple process that requires no tools and can be completed in just four minutes. Disassembling it is just as simple—and takes just as long. The standard desk stands 75 cm tall, 120 cm wide, and 60 cm deep; the kids’ desk is 65 cm tall, 90 cm wide, and 45 cm deep. If you need a comfortable work from home desk, but you’re not quite sold on the Koala desk yet, then you can try it out for a 120-night trial period. The standard desk is priced at $400, while the kids’ desk costs $300.
