Colourful and flexible: new glazed interior walls by Lasvit

Impasto, Curtain and Tapestry, part of the Lasvit Art Walls (LAW) collection, embellish interiors with surface finishes and multiple colour combinations.

Lasvit, glassmaking company of Northern Bohemia, presents three new interior walls for the Lasvit Art Walls (LAW) collection: Impasto, Curtain and Tapestry. Designed by Wanda Valihrachová, part of the company’s design team, the new glass panels are intended as architecture art pieces.

Impasto takes its name from the painting technique used by Vincent Van Gogh, which involves applying thick traces of colour on the surface. The new partition seems to be characterised by the passage of the brush and, like the painting technique, gives energy to the interior. From grey to blue, Impasto is available in ten colour combinations and different shapes, including six standard components that vary in height, width and method of fastening – tube or wire.

Curtain is inspired by theatre curtains, providing privacy without closing off the space. Its shades, clear, grey, smokey and blue-grey, are complemented by a number of finishes: vertical stripes, grids and a texture reminiscent of drapery. The individual component, 2.2 metres high, is self-standing, fixed to the floor by a metal tube.

Inspired by tapestries, Tapestry is made of folded glass that appears to create ripples and is designed for spacious places such as hotels, concert halls, theatres and residences with high ceilings. With elements measuring 60 x 40 cm, Tapestry offers the three types of surface textures of Curtain and three different types of fastening: floor, wall and both.
